Can you win the league?
Football history. Eleven decisions.
Throwback XI is an independent football game about building an all-time team from club history. Each draw brings a club and a decade: you choose one player, fit him into your formation and discover the ratings only when your eleven is complete. The same name can represent a different player version at a different club or in another era.
Play one shared Daily draft each UTC day, experiment without limits in Free Play, or follow the clues in Guess the Legend and Legend Streak. Friend leagues turn the Daily into a small competition with people you know. A season lasts 38 simulated matches; your formation, position choices and the balance of your team all matter.
New to the game? Read the full rules or browse our football stories for context on classic sides. The stories separate documented football history from our own tactical interpretation and game advice. Ratings are editorial opinions, and a famous name is never a substitute for checking the position you still need.
